Household Hazardous Waste

Transportation

Although household hazardous waste is exempt from being considered a hazardous waste by the EPA, it is not exempt from DOT regulations.  Defined in 49 CFR Part 173, a DOT hazardous material requires specific markings and communications before transportation can occur.  DLD's knowledgeable personnel will prepare all of the necessary shipping papers as well as load, label and mark the household hazardous waste for transportation, making sure every detail is covered.  Our professional drivers have had extensive on the job training and know the hazards of each shipment.

DLD has a fully licensed fleet of trucks to transport your household hazardous waste back to our treatment and storage facility upon completion of the collection.  Our same day service gives you the peace of mind knowing that all of your household hazardous waste collected that day will be taken away and transported to DLD.
